MINOR HACKING – willem de kooning academy
TEC ART is the alternative sister of ART Rotterdam. And this is where 4th year students of the minor HACKING present their work.
Why does an art school have a HACKING department? This trendy term is also abused in the arts. The concept of hacking as we use at the academy is mainly about developing a mentality:
how you can apply attributes or systems in a different way than what we are used to. Hacking is finding ways that were not intended by its creator. So it has nothing to do with illegal hacking, but with the search for creative solutions. In the minor HACKING a new way of perception is created.
